Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Terminal Manager specializing in Out-of-Gauge (OOG) and Heavy Duty Materials to lead our terminal operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing the management of heavy-duty freight, ensuring seamless transportation, warehouse processes, and supply chain coordination. The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, optimize operational efficiency, and lead a team dedicated to excellence in logistics management.
Duties
- Oversee daily terminal operations for OOG and heavy-duty materials, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards
- Manage transportation planning, dispatching, freight movement, and shipping & receiving activities to meet customer demands
- Loading and unloading customer orders
- Maintaining materials in good order and condition during handling, shipping, receiving and storage.
- Coordinate schedules and deadlines for delivery, shipping and receiving.
- Maintain organization within the warehouse
- Ensuring the smooth functioning of the warehouse, the shipping and receiving functions, and general material handling duties.
- Assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of all warehouse machinery and equipment as well as the warehouse interior and exterior
- Performing any other duties or tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the Director of Warehousing
Qualifications
- Experience using 35k lb capacity forklifts
- Experience with heavy duty and OOG product handling
- Organization skills and ability to monitor and prioritize numerous projects at once.
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Familiarity with fleet management including dispatching, materials management, forklift operation certification preferred
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively while fostering a safety-conscious environment
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
