Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be safety oriented and responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen. This role requires a strong understanding of route driving, as well as the ability to handle heavy lifting and operate various types of vehicles. Delivery areas will be New Braunfels and Canyon Lake, so a strong understanding of delivering in rural areas is needed. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload packages as necessary.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Plan and follow efficient routes to meet delivery schedules.
- Use Groundcloud software to keep track of deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Driver, preferably in moving or delivery services.
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently with or without help.
- Experience with route driving and knowledge of local roadways and rural roads.
- Strong organizational skills for managing delivery schedules and paperwork.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently while following company protocols.
