We are seeking a dedicated, client-focused Immigration Attorney to join our growing law firm. This position is ideal for an attorney with strong immigration court experience who is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to high-quality advocacy in removal defense matters. Responsibilities
◦ Represent clients before the Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, USCIS, ICE, and other government agencies in a range of U.S. immigration matters.
◦ Review each client’s full immigration history to identify risks, evaluate eligibility for relief, and develop case strategy.
◦ Manage a removal-defense caseload, including cancellation of removal and other related forms of relief.
◦ Prepare and file complex applications, motions, briefs, and supporting evidence in immigration court and related proceedings.
◦ Handle family-based petitions and related affirmative filings when necessary to support broader immigration relief strategies.
◦ Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, legal briefs, and other advocacy materials.
◦ Communicate regularly with immigration courts, government agencies, opposing counsel, and outside organizations.
◦ Supervise and train legal assistants in case preparation, filing procedures, document collection, and deadline management.
Qualifications
◦ Active bar license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction required.
◦ Texas bar admission preferred.
◦ Experience practicing before immigration forums required, including Immigration Court and USCIS; experience before the Board of Immigration Appeals and ICE is strongly preferred.
◦ Experience handling removal defense matters required, including cancellation of removal and related forms of relief.
Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
