Advanced Spine, Joint & Therapy is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our
growing multidisciplinary practice. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of medical billing,
insurance claims processing, accounts receivable, and reimbursement procedures. Experience billing for
chiropractic, nurse practitioner, physical therapy, and personal injury services is strongly preferred.
This position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment
to providing accurate and timely billing services while maintaining exceptional patient and payer relations.
Responsibilities
Submit electronic and paper insurance claims accurately and timely.
Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, deductibles, copayments, and prior authorization requirements.
Post insurance and patient payments.
Review, correct, and resubmit denied or rejected claims.
Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding insurance balances.
Process patient statements and assist with payment arrangements when appropriate.
Appeal denied claims and resolve billing discrepancies.
Maintain compliance with payer guidelines and HIPAA regulations.
Work with providers and clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation and coding.
Communicate professionally with insurance companies, attorneys, and patients regarding billing
questions.
Maintain productivity and accuracy standards while meeting billing deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Billing & Coding, Health Information Technology,
Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a closely related healthcare field
required.
Minimum 3 years of recent medical billing experience in a physician or multidisciplinary medical
practice.
Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding.
Knowledge of and experience with Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, commercial insurance,
Workers' Compensation, Personal Injury, and Letters of Protection (LOPs).
Strong understanding of claim submission, payment posting, denial management, appeals, and
accounts receivable.
Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), medical billing software, Microsoft Office, and
Google Workspace.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
1Preferred Qualifications
Certified Professional Biller (CPB), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist
(CCS), or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS).
Experience billing for chiropractic, physical therapy, nurse practitioner, pain management,
orthopedic, or multidisciplinary practices.
Familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) billing.
