SENIOR LITIGATION PARALEGAL. FULLY REMOTE POSITION FOR SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA APPLICANTS ONLY.
Our growing AV rated 8-attorney insurance defense firm is currently seeking a full-time Senior Litigation Paralegal to add to our incredible trial team. The ideal candidate must be experienced in California litigation and have a minimum of 5-10 years’ California insurance defense and/or tort related defense along with trial experience. An ABA-approved paralegal certificate is a plus but not required.
Candidate must have the ability to multi-task and work in a very fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Our ideal candidate possesses excellent skills in time management, organization with attention to detail, task billing, and the ability to complete all assigned projects and tasks in a timely and efficient manner. We are looking for a Senior Litigation Paralegal who likes to work like the team leader, who likes working collaboratively with the attorneys, and has a go-getter attitude to excel as part of the group. The candidate must also have proficient knowledge of California state and federal rules and procedures; deadlines and calendaring; court filing requirements; preparation of pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and court forms; arranging depositions, mediations, arbitrations and other appointments; preparing attorneys for depositions, hearings and trial; drafting case status reports, deposition reviews and medical record reviews. Proficiency with Office 365, including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint is necessary. The firm uses PracticePanther for billing and calendaring, and prior experience with this platform is helpful.
The Candidate should be a team player, be responsible and accountable, and able to work collaboratively with all employees. Cordial communication and professional interaction skills with office personnel, outside counsel, insurance carriers, expert witnesses, outside vendors, etc. is required. You should also be able to provide trial support and attend trials as needed.
