Healthcare Coding & Consulting Services (HCCS) is seeking an experienced DRG Validator to join our growing team. This is a full-time, fully remote opportunity for a highly skilled coding professional with extensive experience in DRG validation, inpatient auditing, and complex inpatient coding.

Position Requirements:

Active AHIMA or AAPC coding certification required.

CCS certification required.

CDIP and/or CCDS certification preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of recent APR-DRG/DRG coding experience in a Level II Trauma Center or higher.

Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient auditing experience in a Level II Trauma Center or higher.

Previous DRG/APR-DRG validation experience required.

Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding guidelines, MS-DRG/APR-DRG assignment, reimbursement methodologies, and documentation requirements.

Ability to identify coding opportunities, validate DRG assignment, and provide clear audit findings.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
