On-Air Talent (Sports Cards & TCG) — Breaks + Live Auctions
Location: Seattle, Washington
Type: Part-time / Full-time / Contractor
Compensation: Hourly
Company: OCS
About the role
We’re looking for an energetic, credible Sports Cards & TCG On-Air Talent to run live selling shows (breaks + singles) and help drive the full loop: procurement → curation → live show → fulfillment → social content. If you’re already deep in the hobby and can talk product, read a room, and keep a stream moving fast, this is for you.
ResponsibilitiesProcurement + inventory sourcing
- Procure sellable sports cards and TCG inventory via local shops, shows, trade-ins, consignments, private sellers, and online channels
- Evaluate condition, authenticity, comps, liquidity, and margins to ensure strong show-ready inventory
- Maintain sourcing notes (cost basis, expected sell range, product notes)
Curation for the show
- Build compelling “segments” for the stream (chase lots, value stacks, team/player lots, themed runs, etc.)
- Organize products for speed and clarity on camera (labels, sleeves, top-loaders, quick-access stacks)
- Prepare product details to communicate confidently (set/year, parallels, odds, storylines, price comps)
Scheduling + preparing + hosting live shows
- Schedule, prepare, and conduct live shows across platforms including Whatnot and eBay Live auctions (and similar)
- Run breaks and auctions smoothly: pacing, hype, transparency, rules, and customer engagement
- Manage on-stream operations: bids, chat moderation, giveaways (where applicable), and problem resolution
- Track show performance and adjust formats to improve conversion and retention
Sorting + shipping after the show
- Accurately sort hits, teams/players, and buyer wins from breaks/auctions
- Package and ship orders quickly with care (penny sleeve, top-loader, team bag, bubble mailer/box)
- Coordinate labels, tracking, and quality control to reduce errors and returns
- Maintain a clean, organized post-show workflow (bins, order queues, inventory reconciliation)
Social media clips + promo content
- Capture/produce short-form clips from rip hits and key moments (vertical-first)
- Create promotional videos ahead of shows (what’s dropping, chases, schedule teasers)
- Post and/or hand off edited clips with simple captions, hashtags, and timestamps
- Help develop repeatable content formats that build audience and trust
What we’re looking for
- Strong knowledge of sports cards and/or TCG (sets, parallels, grading basics, market dynamics)
- On-camera confidence: clear voice, quick thinking, positive energy, professional presence
- Proven ability to run or contribute to live selling streams (breaks, singles, auctions)
- Reliable, organized fulfillment habits—accuracy matters as much as hype
- Comfortable learning workflows/tools (basic spreadsheets, shipping tools, platform seller tools)
Nice to have
- Existing audience on Whatnot/Instagram/TikTok/YouTube
- Experience with card shows, LCS relationships, or consistent sourcing channels
- Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, etc.)
- Familiarity with eBay comps, auction strategy, and pricing psychology
Work environment / physical requirements
- Ability to handle inventory, organize products, and ship orders (standing, sorting, packing)
- Comfortable working evenings/weekends (peak live-show times)
