Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant Certified (PRN) to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting physical therapists in delivering comprehensive rehabilitative services to diverse patient populations. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical assessment skills, a thorough understanding of physiology and anatomy, and a passion for improving patient outcomes through expert care.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Administer therapeutic interventions such as manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and other modalities to promote mobility and pain relief.
- Document patient progress accurately in accordance with clinical documentation standards and medical documentation protocols.
- Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Conduct assessments and record clinical findings clearly within electronic health records (EHR) management systems.
- Support discharge planning processes by evaluating patient progress and communicating recommendations to the healthcare team.
- Provide patient care across various settings including inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, home health environments.
Experience
- Proven experience in outpatient physiotherapy, inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments.
- Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical equipment operation relevant to physical therapy practices.
- Experience working with diverse patient groups such as geriatrics, orthopedics, or patients recovering from acute care episodes.
- Skills in developing effective care plans that incorporate manual therapy techniques like trigger point therapy and tailored discharge strategies.
- Prior exposure to clinical documentation standards and electronic health records (EHR) management systems is highly desirable.
