About Hoaloha Project
Hoaloha Project is a Hawaiʻi-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering foster youth by connecting resources, advocating for their rights, and supporting access to mental health resources. Founded by former foster youth, Hoaloha provides trauma-informed programs and advocacy initiatives supporting children and youth in foster care.
We are seeking an experienced Fundraising & Development Systems Consultant to help build sustainable fundraising infrastructure as the organization grows.
Position Overview
The consultant will work with Hoaloha Project leadership to strengthen fundraising systems, donor engagement, and development operations. This position will focus on creating practical systems and tools that Hoaloha can continue using after the consulting engagement ends.
Scope of Work
The consultant will:
- Develop a comprehensive fundraising strategy and annual development plan.
- Establish donor management, cultivation, stewardship, and tracking systems.
- Develop donor engagement and communication frameworks.
- Design and launch a monthly giving program.
- Develop corporate partnership and sponsorship strategies and materials.
- Create an annual fundraising campaign strategy and calendar.
- Develop fundraising dashboards, reports, and financial tracking tools.
- Provide staff/leadership training and implementation guidance.
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, or advancement.
- Experience developing donor management and fundraising systems.
- Familiarity with donor CRMs and nonprofit fundraising practices.
- Strong organizational, strategic, and project management skills.
Preferred:
- Experience working with nonprofits in Hawaiʻi or familiarity with Hawaiʻi’s philanthropic and nonprofit landscape.
- Experience working with small or growing nonprofits.
- Experience with individual giving, corporate partnerships, and foundation relationships.
- Experience building fundraising infrastructure and systems from the ground up.
