Duties
- Assess patients’ physical conditions through detailed evaluations and medical history reviews, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Develop and implement individualized therapy programs that incorporate behavioral interventions, wound care, and hyperbaric medicine when applicable
- Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote patient consultations and follow-up care, expanding access to therapy services
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently to document patient progress, treatment plans, and clinical notes with precision
- Conduct patient care activities including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and patient education on injury prevention and self-care techniques
- Apply basic life support (BLS) and CPR protocols in emergency situations to ensure patient safety at all times
- Communicate effectively with patients from culturally diverse communities, demonstrating sensitivity and understanding to foster trust and compliance
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure or certification as a licensed Physical Therapist required
- Proven experience working with culturally diverse populations in clinical or community settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices
- Certification in basic life support (BLS) and CPR required; additional certifications in hyperbaric medicine or wound care are advantageous
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems for accurate documentation
- Experience delivering behavioral interventions and utilizing telehealth platforms for remote patient engagement
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to motivate and educate patients effectively
