We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various destinations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of trucks, including tanker, flatbed, and tractor-trailer configurations.
Responsibilities
- Operate and drive different types of trucks, including tanker, flatbed, roll-off truck, and tractor-trailer.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
- Follow designated routes for deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Utilize manual transmission when required for specific routes or loads.
- Operate forklifts as needed for loading and unloading tasks.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles.
- Familiarity with tanker operations is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills.
- Ability to load and unload cargo safely using appropriate equipment.
- Experience with flatbed trucks is beneficial.
- Capability to operate roll-off trucks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to safety practices on the road.
