Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer (Assembly)
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Duration: 24 Months (Possibility of Extension/Conversion)
Location: Waterloo, IA 50701
Shift: 2nd Shift (3:30 PM – 12:00 AM) or 3rd Shift (10:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Description:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute manufacturing engineering projects within the foundry and assembly operations.
- Design, improve, and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment, and production systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, operators, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to support production goals.
- Conduct engineering testing, process validation, inspections, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support project planning, engineering standards, product development, and manufacturing implementation.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, identify process improvements, and provide technical support on the shop floor.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and engineering standards.
- Spend approximately 75% of the time on the manufacturing floor supporting production operations.

Education:

Experience:
- 1+ years of manufacturing, foundry, or process engineering experience.
- Experience managing engineering projects in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with SAP, MES, AutoCAD, Creo, or FANUC robotics is preferred.
