We are seeking a passionate and experienced Specialty Coffee Barista to join our vibrant café team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality specialty coffee beverages with precision and consistency, following established recipes and standards.
- Engage with customers warmly, providing knowledgeable recommendations and ensuring an outstanding customer service experience.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately, handle cash and card payments, and manage sales efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food handling, food safety practices, and food preparation tasks.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality or safety.
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies, monitoring product freshness, and reporting shortages promptly.
- Follow all food safety regulations and health guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.
Experience
- Proven barista experience in a specialty coffee or café environment demonstrating skill in espresso extraction, brewing methods, and milk texturing.
- Strong knowledge of coffee beans, brewing equipment, and beverage customization options.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient sales processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests positively and professionally.
- Familiarity with food handling procedures, food safety standards, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
