Position Summary
The National Electrician Industrial installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, equipment, and distribution systems on industrial and commercial projects nationwide. This role works from plans and specifications to complete electrical work from rough-in through finish while meeting GEMCO’s quality and safety expectations. The Electrician provides day-to-day guidance to helpers and apprentices and coordinates work with the Foreman and other trades.
This job requires travel across the United States. Typical rotation is 17 days out in the field and 4 days at home.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties

Install, terminate, and test conductors, devices, luminaires, panels, and electrical equipment in accordance with code requirements and GEMCO standards

Measure, cut, bend, thread, and install conduit and raceways and pull, label, and secure conductors

Set equipment and mount and wire controls, sensors, and related electrical components

Perform continuity, insulation, and functional testing and document results as required

Troubleshoot and correct issues in branch circuits, feeders, controls, and electrical equipment

Read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, and specifications and plan layouts and material needs

Coordinate work with Foremen and other trades to support efficient project execution

Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and helpers

Follow, support, and reinforce all safety policies and procedures

Physical Demands

Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform manual labor for extended periods.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying weather conditions.
