Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders using warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of goods in compliance with company standards. Must have some computer skills!
- Support inventory management through data collection, stock counting, and updating records in warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to manage sourcing, vendor management, and category management activities, including negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) for dispatching shipments, planning transportation routes, and optimizing freight costs
- Conduct root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies or process inefficiencies to implement continuous improvements
- Handle manual materials handling tasks safely, including forklift operation when certified, to move goods within the warehouse efficiently
- Collaborate cross-functionally with customer service, production planning, and logistics teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and supply chain operations
Skills
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution, inventory management systems, and shipping logistics
- Proficiency in data analysis skills using Excel data analysis tools, SQL, spreadsheets, and other Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems, and trade compliance regulations
- Knowledge of procurement processes including sourcing, vendor management, contracts, and freight negotiations
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting within a warehouse setting
- Excellent analysis skills for demand planning, inventory control, supply chain analytics, and process improvement initiatives
- Ability to practice effective cross-functional communication across departments such as purchasing, transportation planning, and customer service
- Experience working within e-commerce environments or managing order fulfillment in high-volume warehouses
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to be standing and moving majority of the day!
