Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometrist to join our team of eye care professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing eye exams, diagnosing vision problems, and prescribing corrective lenses or treatments. This role also involves the detection of eye-related conditions and diseases and collaborating with other healthcare professionals when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye and vision examinations.
- Diagnose visual problems such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and eye diseases.
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications as appropriate.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgery.
- Educate patients on proper eye care, contact lens hygiene, and vision therapy options.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Refer patients to our internal ophthalmologist for advanced medical or surgical treatment when needed.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
- Valid PA state license to practice optometry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and optometric equipment.

Work Schedule:
