Position Summary
UUGCPF is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support the financial operations of our organization. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end processes, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting systems. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys precision-driven work in a mission-aligned environment.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) transactions
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Assist with monthly closing procedures and reporting
- Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation
- Support internal controls and accounting best practices
- Collaborate with leadership on ad hoc financial projects and reporting needs
- Assist with audit preparation and documentation as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Experience with AR/AP processes preferred
- Experience with account reconciliations preferred
- Experience supporting monthly closing processes preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
