JOB A training position involving attendance at a recognized Correctional academy for the express purpose of becoming an Alachua County Sheriff's Office Detention Officer/Detention Deputy. This position requires commitment, diligence and initiative.
Work is performed under the supervision of the Training Bureau Sergeants. Performance is evaluated through observation and grades obtained. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Attend and successfully complete the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) Corrections Basic Recruit course

Meet all standards required for employment at the Alachua County Sheriff's Office

Attend academy/work shifts promptly on a continual basis
