CNC Setup/Operator
Reports to: CNC Supervisor

Genesee Global is an ever-growing company looking for talented and growth focused individuals that can continue to move the business forward. CNC operators work closely with the engineering team to troubleshoot and develop the advanced processes required to machine complex components.
Overview/Responsibilities
The main responsibilities for this role include the following, job setup, part qualification, workorder run out, product deburring, fixture machining, manual machining processes, equipment maintenance, and process development.
Job setup typically includes staging required fixtures, building out tool lists, validating programs, and qualifying the final products. Operators must be able to work through initial setup difficulties i.e., adjusting tool offsets, verifying thread/hole depths, improving surface finish, etc.
Most of the repeat jobs require some form of ridged fixturing, whether that is custom vise jaws, vacuum plates, or dedicated tombstones, many of these fixtures requires CNC machining due to complex geometry. CNC operators will need to work closely with engineers to produce these fixtures efficiently and accurately to ensure fixtures are effective and functional.
Quality is central to Genesee Global, and operators must be able to use inspection equipment effectively and record their finding accurately. Operators are expected to comply with quality standards to ensure best outcome.

Qualifications
· 2 – 5 years’ experience setting up and operating vertical CNC mills, Bridgeports, and associated equipment
· Experience reading and modifying G-code.
· Experience using inspection equipment to verify part accuracy as it pertains to customer tolerancing and GD&T
· Ability to read prints, understand GD&T, and understand tolerancing.
· Ability to read, write, and speak English.
· Must be able to lift metal parts to load and unload fixtures, tools, and parts during setup and production cycles.
· Must be able to work at an 8-hour production pace while ensure product meets the quality standards.
· Other fabrication experience (punch press, spot-weld, Pem, etc.) would be a bonus.
· Must be willing to learn and improve continuously based on training and experience throughout the course of the job.
Compensation & Benefits
· Hourly position: $18.00 - $30.00
· 40 Hours of PTO year 1, 80 hours of PTO year 2
