American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Patient Care Coordinator for an Outpatient Foregut Surgery Clinic, requiring Epic outpatient charting experience and prior ambulatory care experience.

Outpatient clinic setting within a multi-disciplinary Digestive Health Center specializing in esophageal/foregut surgery
-
Work alongside a close-knit team of MDs, APPs, RNs, MAs, and schedulers
-
Patient population includes both benign and malignant foregut conditions requiring complex, ongoing care
-
Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM (hours may vary)

No on-call responsibilities

13-week contract length
-
May float to affiliate hospitals nearby per unit needs

Uses Epic outpatient charting system

Active RN license (Standard or Compact), OR license required for submission

BSN required
-
BLS certification required (AHA - Traditional; RQI not accepted)

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Prior ambulatory/clinic experience required

Epic outpatient charting experience required

Teaching hospital experience preferred
-
GI Clinic and Endoscopy experience preferred

Skilled in patient assessment, medication reconciliation, and interpretation of lab results
-
Experience with telephone triage, chart preparation, and pharmacy communications
-
Travel nursing experience required

Must complete Relias exams with a score of 85% or higher
-
COVID vaccination proof required with no exemptions accepted

Provide care coordination, patient assessment, triage, and medication management support to foregut surgeons
-
Perform medical record review, follow established protocols, and assist with patient scheduling
-
Monitor diagnostic results and patient care progress as directed by providers
-
Participate in quality reviews and provide patient education and support throughout treatment

Work closely with a specialized surgical team managing complex esophageal/foregut cases
-
Floating to affiliate hospitals nearby may be required; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation
-
Accepts local candidates at the same pay rate with no mileage radius restriction
-
RTO must be submitted upfront and cannot exceed 2 weeks
-
Former OHSU employees or previous travelers must have been separated for 6 or more months to be eligible to return
