Performance Metrics:
- Maintain 95%+ vehicle readiness rate—vehicles are cleaned, inspected, and prepped for sale within the allotted time frame
- Keep inventory records accurate and up-to-date
- Achieve an average vehicle turn time that meets or exceeds dealership targets
- Zero unresolved title or documentation issues at any given time
- Vehicles are neatly arranged, properly tagged, and easy for customers and sales staff to locate
- Mechanical issues are identified early and communicated promptly to the service team
- Strong collaboration with colleagues—you're the go-to person for inventory questions and lot logistics
- Positive feedback from customers and team members about vehicle quality and lot appearance
Growth Indicators:
- Demonstrates proficiency with our dealership computer system within the first 90 days
- Proactive suggestions that improve inventory processes or reduce costs
- Ability to handle increased inventory volume without compromising quality
What You'll Do
- Maintain and organize vehicle inventory on the lot, ensuring accurate placement and tracking
- Perform initial inspections and basic mechanical assessments of incoming vehicles
- Coordinate vehicle preparation, including detailing, repairs, and safety inspections
- Update and maintain inventory records in our dealership computer management system
- Work closely with the sales and finance teams to ensure vehicles are ready for customer delivery
- Assist with lot maintenance and curb appeal to attract customers
What We're Looking For
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Mechanical Skills: Basic understanding of vehicle systems; ability to identify mechanical issues and coordinate repairs
- Computer Skills: Proficiency with dealership management software, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and data entry
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple vehicles and tasks efficiently
- Communication Skills: Clear, professional communication with team members, customers, and vendors
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with a willingness to support colleagues across departments
Additional Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- Prior experience in automotive, inventory management, or related fields preferred
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and move around the lot for extended periods
