Grand Peaks Medical is looking for a dependable, long-term Medical, Dental and Behavioral Health Certified Coder to become a valued member of our growing team! These are full-time, in-person positions based at our Idaho Falls clinic.
Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred but not required. We’re looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, efficient, and ready to thrive in a supportive and fast-paced healthcare environment.
What You’ll Do:

Process a wide range of medical claims

Create claims, perform medical coding risk assessment

Assign codes for diagnoses and procedures
-
Ensures accurate billing and reimbursement
-
Good understanding of ICD-10 codes, maximizing specified diagnosis codes, CPT and modifiers

Understand and apply relevant laws
-
Knowledge of OB billing preferred

In depth understanding and training in areas of medical terminology, anatomy and coding guidelines

This is an in-person position (not remote)

Must pass a criminal background check

High school diploma or GED required
-
Must have experience and training in medical coding, or equivalent experience in patient care or the health insurance industry

Certified Coder certificate is required

Strong teamwork and communication skills

Must be a self-starter who can work independently and manage multiple tasks

Must be able to train in our St. Anthony location
