Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Hydro Excavation Driver/Operator to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will operate specialized heavy equipment to perform hydro excavation tasks safely and efficiently across various construction projects. Your expertise will help ensure precise excavation work while maintaining safety standards and supporting project timelines.
Essential Duties
- Operate hydro excavation equipment, including water trucks, vacuum trucks, and Combo Units.
- Locate underground utilities.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality before each shift
- Perform excavation tasks with precision on construction sites
- Follow all safety protocols and construction site regulations to maintain a secure work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work activities and report any issues or hazards
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance needs, and project progress
Professional Experience
- Must have a CDL B with Air, Tanker. (Unrestricted CDL A with Tanker and Haz Mat preferred)
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues quickly on-site
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and procedures in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high safety standards
