Schedule Details/Additional Information:

Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM

Lunch based on clinic flow

Flexibility required to support surgical cases and urgent needs

Ability to independently manage clinic when necessary

Participate in call coverage 5–6 times per month

Approximately 10–12 weekends per year

Responsibilities include:
-
ER and inpatient consults
-
Wound care, suturing, fracture reduction, and splinting
-
Patient phone call coverage
-
Occasional hospital rounding
Pay Range
$43.30 - $64.95
-
Provide patient care in both clinic and surgical settings (50/50 split)
-
Conduct office-based evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment of orthopedic conditions
-
Perform first assist duties in the operating room, with emphasis on total joint procedures
-
Manage pre-operative and post-operative care, including hospital rounding
-
Independently manage clinic sessions when the supervising physician is in the OR
-
Document patient visits using dictation tools (e.g., Dragon)
-
Handle same-day work-ins and acute orthopedic cases
-
Orthopedic patients with acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries
-
Fast-paced environment with same-day add-ons and varied case complexity
-
Structured onboarding with shadowing and hands-on training
-
Exposure to clinic workflows, surgical techniques, and patient management

Gradual transition to independent patient care

Opportunity to expand clinic volume and build patient panel

Optional participation in sports medicine coverage, including high school or collegiate events (primarily in fall)

Licensed Physician Assistant (PA)

DEA license required

Strong clinical and interpersonal skills

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Orthopedic or surgical experience preferred

Exposure to sports medicine or athletic coverage is a plus

We are seeking a motivated and team-oriented Physician Assistant (PA) to join a dynamic orthopedic practice. This position offers a balanced mix of clinic and surgical responsibilities, working closely with an experienced orthopedic surgeon while also practicing independently.
