Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including wine and spirits, with a focus on presentation and guest satisfaction.
- Upsell menu items such as premium wines, cocktails, or specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including proper food handling and beverage service protocols.
- Process cash transactions accurately while managing tabs through systems like OpenTable or other POS platforms.
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas promptly, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation to educate guests and recommend pairings.
- Follow food safety guidelines diligently to uphold health standards and ensure guest safety at all times.
- Foster positive guest relations by responding promptly to inquiries and resolving any concerns with professionalism.
Experience
- Prior experience in fine dining restaurants or upscale hospitality environments is highly preferred.
- Proven skills in serving food and beverages with a focus on detail-oriented presentation.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales transactions.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations within the food industry.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with a friendly attitude that enhances guest experiences.
