Tool Maker Trainee will be enrolled in a training program to equip individuals with the skills to plan, develop, coordinate, fabricate, assemble, repair, alter and builds parts, assemblies, tools, fixtures, gages, molds, and dies used in support of any type orders for any type of customers (production, development, laboratories, special, experimental, engineering projects, etc.). The trainee program will consist of 9 months of classroom training and 9 months of on-the-job machining training. At the conclusion of the classroom training, all trainees are eligible to receive a certificate for completing a Tool and Die program. After on the-job training is complete, trainees must successfully pass a Tool Maker assessment and will be converted to a Tool Maker position.
Attend a 9-month custom Tool and Die classroom training program, followed by 9-months on-the-job training. Successful trainees will obtain a certificate in the Tool and Die program at the completion of the classroom training. Upon receiving a certificate and completion of on-the-job training, trainees must successfully pass a Tool Maker assessment and will be converted to a Tool Maker.
- US Citizenship, able to obtain and maintain US DOE Q level security clearance
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work any shift
- Machine Tool Technology or Mill and Lathe Certification from Accredited College OR two (2) or more years experience in machining complex parts and assemblies OR applicable military experience
