E8 Engineering is a staffing company providing contract expertise to established Aerospace and Defense contractors. We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist / Material Coordinator to support launch pad construction, activations, and non-recurring operational activities.
In this role, you will manage material forecasting, plan and schedule material movement, handle time-sensitive requests, and support warehouse inventory operations in preparation for activations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Procurement, Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Management to keep launch support projects moving efficiently and safely.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Material & Inventory Operations:
- Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems for material forecasting, inventory positioning, and data-driven decision-making.
- Plan, schedule, and track the efficient movement of materials from identification to final delivery to end-users.
- Support warehouse inventory operations in preparation for Activations.
- Plan and control inventory of finished goods for warehouses and distribution points to meet demand.
- Develop, analyze, and maintain accurate inputs within the inventory system.
Cross-Functional & Base Logistics Support:
- Action last-minute, non-recurring shipments, receipts, and time-sensitive customer requests.
- Validate and track planned orders for production orders and purchase requisitions.
- Coordinate daily with traffic, production planning, warehouse, engineering, and quality teams across multiple sites.
- Provide base escort support for on-site deliveries.
- Identify and communicate operational opportunities, issues, or discrepancies to leadership for quick resolution.
Safety & Compliance:
- Foster a culture where safety, compliance, quality, and launch execution deadlines are top priorities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 1–4 years of experience in inventory control, material coordination, supply chain, or warehouse operations.
- MRP / Systems Knowledge:Working knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems or ERP inventory software.
- Communication & Collaboration:Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Problem-Solving:Strong analytical skills using data-driven decision-making to handle fast-paced, non-recurring requests.
- Safety Focus: Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance in aerospace or industrial environments.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
