The 3rd Year Lineman to support overhead energy distribution work. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing power lines while working safely in a team-oriented, high-travel field environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead electrical systems

Climb poles and operate bucket trucks to perform line work Follow safety protocols and OSHA standards at all times

Read and interpret basic construction prints and work orders

Support crew members and communicate effectively on job sites

Travel as needed to various project locations
Qualifications:
-
3rd year lineman experience (or equivalent apprenticeship progress
-
Knowledge of overhead distribution systems and tools
-
Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
-
OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred

Valid Class A Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record.

OSHA 10 Certification.

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in utility overhead line work.

Skills & Competencies:

Familiarity with rubber glove and sleeve safety techniques.

Understanding of materials, tools, and approved procedures for electric line work.

Adequate knowledge of electrical theory related to power distribution.

Awareness of live-line work hazards and safe procedures.
-
Able to demonstrate adequate pole climbing ability.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with supervisors, co-workers, contractors, and customers.

Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.

Capability to receive and apply coaching to meet safety and productivity standards.

Strong interpersonal skills to handle public interactions with courtesy and professionalism.

Work Environment:
-
Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, or snow.

Frequent climbing of poles, use of aerial lifts, and work around high-voltage lines.

Subject to callouts during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Occasional travel for storm restoration or mutual aid.
-
Must be willing to travel for work assignments.
Physical Requirements:

Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to endure the daily activity involved on the job site.
- Frequently pull, push, and hold heavy tools, cables, and materials during climbing or installation tasks.

Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 80 pounds unassisted.

Occasionally lift items over 80 pounds with assistance.
-
Must not have a fear of heights (acrophobia) and must demonstrate comfort and balance when working elevated.
