We are seeking
Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team and provide exceptional care to individuals in various healthcare settings, including long-term care, acute care, and psychiatric/behavioral health.
As an LPN, you will deliver direct nursing care to physically and developmentally disabled, ill, and/or injured individuals. Working under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN) or licensed physician, you may oversee health service workers and certified nursing assistants in delivering basic patient care services. You will perform general nursing duties such as assisting with daily living activities, transporting patients, and recording vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, etc.).

Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital, located in Huntington, West Virginia, is a 110-bed psychiatric hospital owned and operated by the West Virginia Department of Health Facilities. Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital provides quality patient care and a safe environment for its patients, who are often committed to the hospital through civil commitment or, in the case of forensic patients, ordered through the judicial system. As a training site for future health care professionals, Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital provides on-site learning experiences for educating physicians, nurses, practical nurses, psychologists, counselors, health care administrators, technicians, and supportive services personnel. The hospital holds accreditation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is certified by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Through ongoing collaboration with Marshall University’s Department of Behavioral Medicine & Psychiatry, a variety of medical and clinical professionals partner with the hospital’s own staff to work diligently with patients to achieve a smooth transition back to the community after discharge.
