Production Associates is responsible for preparing, staining, and finishing wood doors to meet Foreword's quality and appearance standards. This position requires attention to detail, consistency, and pride in craftsmanship. The ideal candidate works efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality, follows established processes, performs thorough quality inspections, and contributes to a safe and organized production environment.
- Prepare surfaces of wood doors for staining by sanding, cleaning, and applying pre-stain conditioner as necessary.
- Apply stains and finishes evenly and consistently using established techniques to achieve consistent color, coverage, and appearance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning and maintaining staining equipment.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure finished products meet quality standards.
- Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and environmental procedures for handling stains, coatings, and solvents.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and other production team members to meet daily production schedules and quality expectations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Previous experience staining wood doors or similar wood finishing experience preferred.
- Ability to recognize color variations, finish defects, and other quality issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand tools and finishing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy doors as needed.
- Knowledge of different types of stains, finishes, and wood types is a plus.

- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Wood Working: 1 year wood finishing, cabinet finishing, furniture finishing, door staining, or related woodworking experience (Preferred)
- Hand Tools: 1 year (Required)
- Ability to stand and walk the entire shift
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Frequently bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, noise, and finishing materials while wearing required PPE.
