Millennia RX is a closed door, long term care pharmacy providing pharmacy services to skilled nursing facilities across Alabama and Mississippi.
The job functions of the staff pharmacist include, but aren’t limited to:
Verification of new and reordered medication orders.
Screening for drug interactions, allergies, and appropriate medication therapy.
Communicate with management, co-workers, prescribers, nurses, and administration at our nursing facilities.
Enter and verify IV orders
Provide final review of drug orders and prescriptions.
Assist in maintaining the inventory of the pharmacy, including a perpetual inventory of schedule II medications.
Knowledge of federal and state laws governing the practice of pharmacy.
The staff pharmacist must possess these key skills and attributes:
Punctual, Patient Safety, Quality Assurance, Pharmacy Professional Practice, Customer Service, Workflow Management, Sound Judgement, Works Independent, Time Management, Leadership
Requirements:
Registered Pharmacist or Pharm.D
Active Alabama pharmacy license in good standing with the board of pharmacy and active controlled substance and sterile compounding certificates.
Preferred but not required qualifications:
Experience with the FrameworkLTC operating system, Point Click Care
Pharmacy Hours:
- Monday-Friday: 8AM-9PM
- Saturday: 8AM-4PM
- Sunday: Closed
