Service technician reports to the Maintenance Manager, the Service Tech is responsible for the preventive maintenance, repair services, and parts for commercial cooking, refrigeration, beverage, HVAC and other kitchen equipment.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Ability to determine root causes through troubleshooting systems.

Provides preventive maintenance and repair services on restaurant equipment, refrigeration equipment and building systems including but not limited to HVAC and electrical systems.

Ensures service order requests are responded to in a timely manner.

Provides thorough troubleshooting remotely in attempt to resolve minor equipment issues.

Detects, documents, reports, and resolves complex equipment issues resulting from defective materials and unusual conditions.

Makes sound recommendations as to repair or replace equipment based on age, condition, and cost.

Ability to gather accurate information for Maintenance Manager to coordinate repair or installation of HVAC, cooking, refrigeration, and electrical equipment.

Effectively and safely operates standard maintenance tools to include power tools, basic hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment.

Responsible for completing work orders, PO’s, and invoicing.

Maintains spare parts in company vehicle, restocking inventory as needed.

Manages company credit card as per the Phase Three Guidelines.

Maintains the company vehicle and ensures it is in clean and safe condition.

Maintains all company equipment and ensures they are in good working order.

Sources parts and equipment.

Provides training to restaurant staff on best practice methods for operating and maintaining restaurant equipment.

Exercises resources to control costs, enhance efficiencies and meet commitments.

Ability to understand and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.

Maintains and updates detailed restaurant equipment records.
-
Communicates with members of operations as to ensure that everyone fully understands opportunities to improve specific maintenance deficiencies.

Performs other duties as requested by operations.
