Lodging One Hospitality, a leader in hotel development, ownership, management and consulting, is currently hiring a Guest Service/Front Office Manager for our new and upcoming Hampton Inn by Hilton Manhattan Aggieville.
This is a full-time, FLSA Exempt, management position with employee/supervisory and operational oversight.
As our Guest Service/Front Office Manager, you would ultimately be responsible for the overall management and leadership of the front office team to provide exceptional guest experiences while ensuring all standard operating procedures, policies, and pertinent requirements for all hotel operational objectives (including brand and Lodging One Hospitality specific goals) are being followed. This individual will have secondary oversight of and may be involved in operational procedures and/or supervision of other hotel departments including; food/beverage, housekeeping, laundry, and engineering, when required.
Reporting directly to the hotel’s General Manager, the Front Office Manager (FOM) will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:
Manage direct reports by ensuring Associates understand employment practices, policies, job duties, expectations, and requirements. Recommends employment decisions and corrective action, supporting performance management, and initiating the disciplinary process when necessary.
Ensure that Associates are meeting guest needs and appropriately responding to any guest concerns and escalating as appropriate.
Create a best-in-class guest experience by engaging with guests, providing friendly and courteous service, anticipating guest needs, increasing guest loyalty, and maintaining valuable relationships.
Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure that services are provided in an efficient and timely manner.
Ensure financial goals of the department and the hotel are being met by managing labor costs, controlling expenses for supplies and equipment, and determining revenue-driving initiatives.
Work directly with the hotel’s sales leader on revenue-generating initiatives implemented on the front lines. Communicate strategy and goals.
Perform or assist with cleaning duties as necessary; ensuring the hotel is achieving stringent standards.
Recommend and implement approved changes that could improve service and increase operational efficiency.
Ability to serve as Manager on Duty and may be assigned to act as General Manager in his/her absence.
Assists the hotel's General Manager with any and all duties, obligations, assignments or tasks as directed or needed.
Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must possess superior customer service and employee relation skills.
Computer experience, general office machinery.
Flexible schedule (the hotel operates 24 hours per day/7 days per week)
Previous hotel/hospitality experience preferred, but not mandatory.
Previous management/employee leadership experience, regardless of industry, is required.
Professional dress and communication skills.
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
