Every great shop runs on people who take ownership of the details — and that starts with the Porter. This is an entry-level role where you'll learn what it means to operate in a professional auto shop: fluid checks, tire inspections, cleaning, parts runs, and supporting the team with whatever keeps the bays moving. No task is beneath you. Every task matters.
We are open to motivated high school students who want real-world trade experience. After-school and weekend hours are available, and you'll be working alongside professionals who will actually teach you something. This isn't busywork — it's the foundation of a career in automotive service.
The path forward is real and clearly defined: Porters who demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a coachable attitude earn their way into oil changes and routine maintenance under their mentors' direct training.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Check fluid levels, tire pressure, and vehicle condition on incoming and outgoing cars
- Maintain cleanliness of bays, equipment, and shop
- Run parts between suppliers and the shop as directed
- Stage vehicles for service and assist with pre/post-service walkthroughs
- Document inspection findings with photos and notes for the Service Advisor
- Support Lead Tech Foreman and the broader team with tasks as needed
- Conduct test drives (once licensed and cleared to do so)
- Assist with vehicle inspections and flag anything that looks off
- Learn shop standards, protocols, and workflows from day one
- Clean bathrooms, waiting room, break room and offices.

Nice to Have
- Any prior experience in a shop, warehouse, or fast-paced service environment
- Basic knowledge of vehicles (you've changed a tire, checked your oil, anything counts)
- Currently enrolled in an automotive or vocational program
- Comfortable with physical work — on your feet, hands-on, moving all day
- Comfortable working in temperatures over 100 degrees, and under 20 degrees.
SCHEDULE & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Full-Time: Mon–Fri, 7:00 AM – 6:30 PM | Lunch 12:00–1:00 PM | Shop closed weekends
- Part-Time (student hires): flexible after-school hours + weekends as needed
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a shop environment — grease, fluids, and noise are part of the job
- Driver's license required, exceptions for superstar interviewees only
COMPENSATION
- $12.50-$13.50 per hour starting pay
- Bonuses are provided when the team meets production goals
