Automotive Technician / Shop Assistant (Part-Time to Full-Time Opportunity)
About Us:We are a growing automotive repair and performance shop looking for a motivated and reliable individual to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with basic automotive experience who wants to continue learning and growing in the industry.
Position: Automotive Technician / Shop Assistant
Employment Type: Part-Time with opportunity to transition to Full-Time within a few months.
Schedule: Flexible scheduling available.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance including:
- Oil changes
- Brake services
- Fluid changes
- Basic inspections
- Filters, spark plugs, and other maintenance items
- Keep the shop clean, organized, and professional.
- Assist with shop cleanup and daily operations.
- Order and pick up parts as needed.
- Assist the lead technician and mechanics with repairs and larger projects.
- Help move vehicles, organize tools, and maintain inventory.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic automotive knowledge and experience performing vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable transportation.
Bonus Skills (Higher Pay Potential):
- Ability to remove and install engines.
- Ability to remove and install transmissions.
- Experience with diagnostics and more advanced repairs.
- Performance, aftermarket, or fabrication experience is a plus.
Compensation will be based on experience, skill level, and the ability to perform advanced repairs. Candidates with engine or transmission removal and installation experience will be eligible for higher compensation.
