Lola Mediterranean Woodfire is a vibrant new Greek restaurant in Manchester, celebrating the spirit of the Mediterranean through bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and wood-fired cooking. We specialize in rustic Greek dishes with a modern twist — including handmade pizzas crafted with care in our wood-fired oven.
About the Role:
As a Pizza Cook at Lola, you’ll be responsible for crafting delicious, high-quality pizzas from scratch in our woodfire oven. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to prepare dough, build pizzas with fresh Mediterranean ingredients, and ensure every pie leaving the oven is cooked to perfection. This is a hands-on, high-impact role at the center of our open kitchen.
Responsibilities:
- Hand-stretch dough and prepare pizzas to order using our signature ingredients and recipes
- Operate and maintain our wood-fired oven at proper cooking temperatures
- Ensure pizzas are cooked evenly with the perfect balance of crispness and char
- Assist in prepping ingredients daily, including sauces, toppings, and dough portions
- Keep your station clean, organized, and fully stocked during service
- Monitor inventory levels and rotate stock as needed
- Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of experience as a pizza cook or in a similar kitchen role (wood-fired pizza experience is a plus)
- Comfortable working with high-heat ovens and managing multiple orders at once
- Strong attention to detail and consistency in execution
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Passion for Mediterranean flavors and artisanal cooking techniques

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
