Fabrication Supervisor – 2nd Shift
Location: Waukesha, WI
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.
Pay: $35.00–$43.00 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Supervisor to lead second-shift operations within a well-established heavy manufacturing environment. This individual will oversee production, product quality, employee performance, and workplace safety while ensuring fabricated products are completed accurately and delivered on schedule.
The ideal candidate has previous leadership experience within welding, metal fabrication, structural steel, heavy equipment, or a related manufacturing environment. This position requires a hands-on leader who can effectively communicate with skilled trades employees, prioritize production needs, read blueprints, and maintain high standards for safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily second-shift fabrication activities
- Assign employees and resources based on production schedules and customer deadlines
- Provide leadership, coaching, training, and development to fabrication employees
- Monitor production progress and adjust priorities to support on-time delivery
- Ensure fabricated parts and assemblies are completed accurately and according to specifications
- Review blueprints, job requirements, and production documentation
- Maintain departmental standards for safety, quality, productivity, utilization, cost, and delivery
- Monitor employee attendance, performance, and workplace conduct
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide corrective action or counseling when necessary
- Assist with interviewing, selecting, and onboarding new employees
- Investigate production or quality issues and help implement effective corrective actions
- Maintain inventory and material availability to support production requirements
- Promote a positive work environment built on accountability, communication, trust, and teamwork
- Participate in continuous-improvement initiatives, Kaizen events, 5S activities, and process-improvement projects
- Ensure employees follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical degree, apprenticeship, or additional manufacturing training preferred
- Previous supervisory or production leadership experience required
- Experience within welding, metal fabrication, structural steel, heavy manufacturing, or a related environment strongly preferred
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication blueprints, dimensions, and production documentation
- Strong understanding of production scheduling, quality expectations, and workplace safety
- Ability to lead skilled welders, fabricators, fitters, machine operators, and other manufacturing employees
- Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous-improvement methods is a plus
- Willingness to work a permanent second-shift schedule
Compensation and Benefits
