Responsibilities:
- Receive and direct patient phone calls, schedule appointments, check-in patients, obtain necessary patient information and update patient records, and ensure all forms and consents are completed by patients
- Check in and Check-out patients, collecting payments, verifying insurance, registering patients and update and maintain correct patient data, assist with referral processing, and arrange laboratory services
- Prepare patients for examination, take vitals, and record patients' health history
- Set-up biopsies, administer injections of local anesthesia, and perform routine specimen collection and tests
- Prepare equipment and examination rooms, and clean instruments
- Assist dermatologist with medical treatments, procedures, and exams; must be capable of using an electronic medical record system and be able to scribe for physicians
- Manage office and medical supply inventory and perform other duties assigned
- Ability to handle billing processes such as collection of copays and other fees
- Experience in general dermatology and/or dermatologic surgery is a plus
