Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, and assisted living facilities. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, performing physical examinations, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses across diverse patient populations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, and catheterization as needed.
- Administer medications and injections while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize EMR systems (such as Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner) for efficient patient management.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Experience
Candidates should possess a strong background in nursing with experience in various specialties. Preferred qualifications include:
- Critical care experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers.
- Familiarity with gastroenterology, geriatrics, pediatrics, or emergency medicine.
- Experience with telehealth services and outpatient care settings.
- Proficiency in CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and medical terminology.
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices and pain management techniques.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in memory care settings is a plus.
