We are looking for an expert, trend-savvy, and dedicated Lash Extension Artist to join our team in delivering bespoke, stylized artistry.
Position Overview & Earning Potential
We do things differently here. We reject the unstable commission-only models and the stressful "booth rental" culture. Instead, we offer a hybrid framework that rewards true professionals who want to help grow a brand.
Our compensation is built to reward shift compliance and elite artistry:
- Guaranteed Hourly Base: $15.00/hour for all scheduled shift floor time, giving you financial peace of mind during gaps.
- Time-Based Booking Bonuses (Piece-Rate): An additional $13.00 to $20.00+ per hour of hands-on service time completed.
- Tips: You retain 100% of your gratuities.
- The Math: When performing services, your effective earning potential scales smoothly to $28.00 – $35.00+ per hour.
Note: This premium hourly-plus-bonus structure is strictly contingent upon working your scheduled shifts, participating in brand content creation, and engaging clients during downtime. We are seeking committed team players, not on-demand independent contractors.
Responsibilities
- Provide precise, high-end classic, hybrid, and volume eyelash extensions tailored to individual client features.
- Maintain a pristine workspace adhering strictly to sanitation and safety protocols.
- Utilize downtime constructively on the studio floor by creating engaging social media content (Reels/TikToks) and cross-promoting our services.
- Deliver a polished, professional, energetic, and trend-savvy client experience.
Strict Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensure: Must hold an active, valid Virginia State License (Esthetician or Cosmetologist) OR possess a verifiable license from another state that can be immediately transferred to Virginia. No exceptions.
- Experience: Fully trained and proficient in lash extension application (Classic, Hybrid, Volume). We do not offer paid training for this role.
- Availability: Must be reliable, punctual, and fully present for scheduled floor hours (not just when a client is booked).

However, if you are looking to become fully certified, Beauty Lab DMV will be hosting our next intensive Lash Training Class in August. While this job role does not offer paid training, we do provide partial scholarships for select, passionate individuals interested in enrolling in our August class.
