American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Vascular/Cardiovascular Acute Care Med/Surg position requiring ACLS certification and telemetry or cardiac surgery experience, working night shifts at a hospital in Chapel Hill, NC.

12-bed inpatient Cardiovascular Acute Care Unit within a Center for Heart and Vascular Care, serving both medical and surgical cardiovascular patients

Patient population includes complex cardiovascular medical and surgical cases requiring telemetry monitoring

Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)

Every other weekend required

Every other holiday required

No on-call responsibilities

Active RN license in North Carolina (or a Compact license) currently in hand

Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA or ARC) required

Current ACLS certification required
-
NIHSS certification required
-
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required

Telemetry and/or cardiac surgery experience required

Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or MSN preferred

Two professional references required for consideration

Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation

Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate and update individualized patient care plans
-
Performs bedside point-of-care testing as required
-
Assesses and plans for complex discharge needs in coordination with multidisciplinary resources
-
Promotes culturally competent, cost-effective, and safety-focused care in alignment with healthcare organization standards

BSN or MSN is preferred but not required
