Job Title: Quality Control Manager (USACE Construction)

Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality Control Manager (QCM) with USACE experience to support a federal construction project in Birmingham/Anniston AL. The ideal candidate will manage all quality control processes, ensuring compliance with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) standards, contract requirements, and project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a USACE-approved Quality Control Plan (QCP)
- Conduct daily inspections and document all tests, deficiencies, and corrective actions
- Lead and document Three-Phase Inspections (Preparatory, Initial, Follow-up)
- Oversee subcontractor work and ensure quality standards are met
- Manage submittals, RFIs, and quality-related documentation
- Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 safety standards
- Collaborate with field teams to address quality issues promptly
- Maintain organized records of test results, certifications, and photos
Requirements
- 5+ years of construction QC experience (minimum 3 years with USACE/federal projects)
- CQM Certification (Construction Quality Management for Contractors) – Required
- Working knowledge of Three-Phase QC System and EM 385-1-1
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
