Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Form Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing and installing form work for concrete structures, ensuring precision and safety on every project. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately construct concrete forms.
- Assemble and install formwork using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment, ensuring stability and alignment.
- Install rebar reinforcement according to specifications for structural integrity.
- Operate concrete mixers and concrete pumping equipment to facilitate efficient pouring processes.
- Perform finishing tasks such as smoothing, sealing, caulking, and trimming concrete surfaces for a polished look.
- Collaborate with team members on heavy lifting, framing, masonry, and other related tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and inspecting equipment regularly.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site environments with a focus on concrete forming or related trades such as carpentry or masonry.
- Knowledge of the operation of power tools, and heavy equipment.
- Skilled in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation.
- Familiarity with rebar installation.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail during concrete finishing.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to construction sites including heavy equipment operation.
