We are seeking a part-time (20-25 hours per week) Patient Care Coordinator to join our team with the specific role of coordinating patient care for psychiatry (medication management services). The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, be organized, have strong communication skills, and be able to multitask and work efficiently in a busy office setting. The primary functions of the patient care coordinator will be to provide scheduling for new patient appointments, completing medication pre-authorizations, and assisting the nurse practitioners in records maintenance.
AIBDT Psychological Services has 5 locations in the Western and Northern suburbs of Pittsburgh. The Patient Care Coordinator will be located in our Robinson Twp office.
Job duties include:
- Answer calls live and in a professional manner.
- Schedule patients appointments.
- Create and maintain records in the EMR (patient charts), including obtaining consent forms and symptom outcome measures.
- Obtain prior records from other facilities.
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Coordinate communication between providers (e.g., referring clinicians and psychiatry providers)
- Manage patient records, maintain patient files, and prepare charts for intake appointments.
- Responding to patient voicemails and emails.
- Document scanning and data entry tasks.
- Provide assistance with billing and payments.
- Assist in maintaining a professional office environment.
