Looking for a caretaker 35 hours a week. Must have vehicle and clean background. Days and times are negotiable between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. M-F mainly. Exceptions can be made if you need a day off during the week and want to switch it for a day during the weekend occasionally but occasionally in this particular instance is not more often than once per quarter. Familiarity with cooking is preferred but not required. Open-mindedness and desire to learn what to cook and how IS. I don't really care if you have been cooking longer than I have been alive, if you don't cook what I want to eat or how I like it then it's quite a pointless endeavor as far as this position is concerned. I have a cat and smoke indoors. I have been in a wheelchair now 10 years. For the most part I need help around the house. Any kind of ideas that I'm going to magically get better and back to walking anytime soon is most likely not realistic. If I could do everything around the house that needs done I wouldn't be looking for help. Keeping that in mind, if you're interested send me your qualifications and we will see what we can get set up as far as an interview. Sometimes I like to go out to lunch, or shopping, or might want to send you to grab something from somewhere so a car is required. Specifically a car. *Must be able to pass a state background check. This takes about a week or two in order to be complete. Please keep that in mind before you apply. **Pay is $16 an hour for the first half of the month and $17 an hour for the last half of the month. I realize that adds up to $16.50, but I was done negotiating and I really like the lady that manages all this for me so it sounded good enough. Seems things may have gotten worse economically since I made the deal, so I'm glad I took what I did when it was available. Either way, around March of every year I start calling around to make sure pay is at/near the top for around here.
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
