Position Title: Maintenance Electrician

Position Description:
Join a dynamic industrial environment as a Maintenance Electrician in Wilton, CT, where you'll be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting all primary and secondary electrical distribution systems up to 600 volts. Your expertise will ensure the reliable operation of control circuitry, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and other specialized electrical systems. You'll perform wiring, fixture relocation, and panel installation in both existing and underground raceways. Additionally, you will serve as a Multi-Craft Technician, supporting plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance tasks as needed. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering a steady schedule from Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm, and competitive pay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical distribution systems up to 600 volts
- Service batteries and transformers
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately
- Maintain, test, and repair AC motor controls and VFDs
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot control circuitry and electrical components
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and record-keeping
- Complete electrician’s reports on the work performed
- Make maintenance recommendations to supervisors
- Respond promptly to emergency repairs
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Top Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree preferred
- Journeyman’s license or completion of a four-year apprenticeship program
- 5+ years of experience in commercial, industrial, or manufacturing settings
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and electrical standards
- Proven ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
- Experience with project estimation of labor, materials, and equipment
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
