Vigilant Healthcare Solutions is seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum opportunity in San Antonio, TX.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced CRNAs and Nurse Anesthetists looking to work in a high-acuity clinical environment alongside a dedicated obstetric care team.
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services exclusively for OB and C-section cases in compliance with case log requirements
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and develop individualized anesthesia care plans for obstetric patients
- Administer and monitor neuraxial anesthesia (epidurals, spinals, combined spinal-epidural) for laboring and surgical patients
- Manage anesthesia intraoperatively for cesarean deliveries, including emergent and elective cases
- Monitor maternal and fetal hemodynamic status and respond to intraoperative complications
- Collaborate with OB physicians, nurses, and surgical staff to ensure safe patient outcomes
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Requirements
- Current CRNA certification (NBCRNA) required
- Active Texas APRN license or ability to obtain
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- Demonstrated OB anesthesia case experience — must meet case log requirements
- Comfortable working exclusively in an obstetric/surgical environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work within a collaborative care team
Schedule
- Locum | 1 week per month commitment
- 5x8 shifts — scheduling is scheduler's choice
- Schedule provided a minimum of 3 months in advance (transitioning to 6 months advance notice)
