Job Purpose
The RHC Nurse works under the direction of the Physician Assistant and/or Nurse Practitioner and will assist with the coordination of the Clinic’s daily activities. The RHC Nurse also plans and manages patient care according to each patient’s needs.
Qualifications
- LPN or RN with current MO license

Two years nursing experience

Experience with healthcare technology, preferred.
Core Job Duties

Verify patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.

Obtain patient vital signs and escort patients to examination rooms.

Ensure hospital medical records, test results, current medication and dosages are available for the Physician or Nurse Practitioner for review.

Administer injections of medications.

Verify patient charts are updated promptly and accurately.

Observe and records patients’ conditions and reactions to medications and treatments.

Call-in prescriptions and refill medications as needed and directed by the Physician or Nurse Practitioner.

Submit and ensure pre-certification for testing/medical services are completed in a timely manner.

Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models.

Orally communicate information effectively and accurately.

Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency’s certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care.
- Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.

Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
