Office Clerk Job Description
The Office Clerk supports daily business operations by handling clerical, customer service, and basic accounting tasks. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and team members. The ideal candidate is dependable, accurate, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Perform daily cash up procedures, including balancing cash drawers, reconciling receipts, and reporting discrepancies.
· Process accounts payable, including entering invoices, verifying purchase details, and preparing payments.
· Take phone orders accurately and handle incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner.
· Complete general office duties such as filing, data entry, copying, scanning, sorting mail, and maintaining office supplies.
· Maintain organized records and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
· Support team members with administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Previous clerical, office, customer service, or bookkeeping experience preferred.
· Basic knowledge of accounts payable and cash handling procedures.
· Strong verbal communication and phone etiquette.
· Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry.
· Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently.
· Professional attitude and strong attention to detail.
