Job description:
1st & 2nd Shifts Available: 6am - 2pm & 2pm - 10pm
Sign-on Bonus: $1,000 (paid over 4 weeks)
Hourly Rate: $13.50 - $14.15 per hour
JOB SUMMARY:
The Tire Handler is responsible for manually loading and/or unloading and stacking tires from/to containers and trailers onto pallets and moving pallets using a manual pallet jack. The Tire Handler is a role that does it all . This role unloads and loads trucks, as well as putting away and picking orders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manually stack tires into or onto containers, trailers or pallets.

Utilize proper tire stacking procedures to ensure tires are stacked in a safe, secure and stable manner.

Properly sort tires before loading or unloading per paperwork specifications.

Verify correct and suitable trailers are used per paperwork specifications.

Accurately provide tire counts by correctly filling out proper paperwork.

Execute assigned unload/loading production schedule as assigned by supervisor/site management.

Pay close attention to detail and to ensure accuracy of paperwork and data.

Operate manual pallet jack to move pallets to staging area.

Effectively communicate with supervisors and co-workers concerning any incoming or outgoing shipment issues.

Maintain organization and cleanliness of work area and warehouse.

Adheres to all corporate and site specific policies/procedures, safety rules, and OSHA/MSDS standards.
OTHER DUTIES:
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Computer Skills:

Mathematical Skills:
Basic to intermediate level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Work experience in a tire distribution environment is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to constantly lift up to 70lbs for prolonged periods of time

Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects

Ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly.
